During these times of uncertainty J & A Athletics has tried to make a small impact in the community over the past month.
Anna Sheridan has designed and donated headbands made out of performance fabric that would have been used for our t-shirts. These headbands give a bit of comfort as these workers go through very long days during a very stressful time.
Fortunately more have been requested and we will try to fill as many as we possibly can. If you know of or are a Health Care Worker than please reach out and request some…we would be honoured to help out.
Currently St. Catharines Walker Family Cancer Centre, Welland ER, St. Catharines ER, Hospice Niagara, Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital and many others have been dropped off.
With the current recommendation of non-surgical masks, we have donated these as well to anyone who would like one ( we have a limited supply ). For others looking to make these masks we will gladly send over the pattern.
Our mask have 2 layer protection – the fabric that is used for hockey shells on the outside, and t-shirt fabric on the inside. With the shortage of elastic we used our performance spandex for comfort.
